A medical visa may be applied for by a person travelling to India for specialized medical treatment.
Attendant/family members of the patient may be granted medical attendant visa which is co-terminus with the medical visa of the patient.

Applicants may apply at: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in and complete the application online after carefully going through the instructions listed on the web page.
Take a print out of the duly filled online form and submit a signed copy.
Passport (with minimum 6 months validityand two blank pages) and photocopy.
NRC/Residency Permit (original and photocopy).
Yellow fever certificate (original and photocopy).
Two recent Passport size photographs (see ‘Photograph Guidelines’).
Letter from local doctor/hospital establishing the need for receiving medical treatment in India(original and photocopy).
Letter from the hospital in India indicating name, passport details and date of travel of patient and accompanying person (if any) to India for treatment (original and photocopy).
