A student visa may be applied for by an applicant whose sole objective of visiting India is to pursue regular and full time academic studies and for no other purpose or activity.

Applicants may apply at: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in and complete the application online after carefully going through the instructions listed on the web page.
Take a print out of the duly filled online form and submit a signed copy.
Passport (with minimum 6 months validity and two blank pages) and photocopy
NRC/Residency Permit (original and photocopy )
Yellow fever certificate (original and photocopy)
Two recent Passport size photographs (see ‘Photograph Guidelines’).
Provisional proof of admission/eligibility certificate from the concerned educational institution recognised/Approved by the Government of India (original and photocopy)
Letter from bank certifying to the financial means of parent/guardian to meet the expenses in India (original and photocopy).
