Tourist Visa is granted to a Foreigner who does not have a residence or occupation in India and whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight-seeing and casual visit to meet friends and relatives. No other activity is permissible on a Tourist Visa.
Applicants may apply at: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in and complete the application online after carefully going through the instructions listed on the web page.
Take a print out of the duly filled online form and submit a signed copy.
Passport (with minimum 6 months validityand two blank pages) and photocopy.
NRC/Residency Permit (original and photocopy).
Yellow fever certificate (original and photocopy).
Two recent Passport size photographs (see ‘Photograph Guidelines’).
Letter of sponsorship from a person in India or Bank statement of the last quarter indicating the financial means of the applicant to meet the expenses in India (original and photocopy)
Air booking for onward and return journey (original and photocopy)
Note:
The Tourist Visa is non-extendable and non-convertible.
