Portal updates for OCI cardholders

The Government of India’s OCI portal has been updated to facilitate OCI cardholders to update details of their new passports in cases where the OCI card is not required to be re-issued (change of passports between age of 20 years and 50 years) and re-issue of OCI card once at the time of attaining age of 20 years.

A separate sub-portal titled ‘Apply for Special Permission (only for OCI card holders)’ has been created to facilitate applications for special permission from competent authorities to undertake certain activities in India.
