Mid-career Specialized medical training program for doctors from Africa at Fortis Hospitals

Under the Action Plan of the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit Meeting held in New Delhi, India, in October 2015, Fortis Hospital, India (a leading hospital chain) is organizing a four week Mid-career Specialized medical training program in various disciplines for African doctors for the academic year 2019-20 from 5th August 2019 to 24th August 2019.

The information brochure application form may be accessed here (PDF).  To be eligible, the participants are required to be fluent in English language and should have completed post-graduate programme in the discipline in which the training is sought and should be licensed to practice in their respective countries. The prospective candidates are required to fill-in the Application Form, send the completed form along with their academic qualifications to the High Commission of India, Lusaka by 15th July 2019.   Any queries/clarification may be addressed to Mr. Naba Kumar Pal, First Secretary (Commerce/Education) at com.lusaka@mea.gov.in.


Mid-career Specialized medical training program for doctors from Africa at Apollo Hospitals

Under the action plan of the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit Meeting held in New Delhi, India, in October 2015, Apollo Hospitals, India, a leading hospital chain of India, is organizing a four week Mid-career Specialized medical training program for African doctors for the academic year 2019-20 from 8th July 2019 at six different locations. i.e Apollo Hospitals Ahmedabad, Apollo Hospitals Bengaluru, Apollo Hospitals Chennai, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Delhi, Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai and Apollo Health City Hyderabad. 

The information brochure and application form may be accessed here (PDF).  To be eligible, the participants are required to be fluent in English language and should have completed post-graduate programme in the discipline in which the training is sought and have at least 3 years of experience in the discipline. India-Africa Agriculture Fellowship 

Under the action plan of the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit Meeting held in New Delhi, India, in October 2015, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India is inviting applications for post-graduate (two years) and doctoral (three years) programmes under the India-Africa Fellowship Scheme in various India Agricultural Universities for the academic year 2019-20. The fully-funded scholarships cover subject areas such as Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Animal Sciences/Husbandry, Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Agricultural Extension, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Crop Science, Water Technology etc.

The application form and information note containing general guidelines including eligibility criteria and separate information bulletins on the major subject groups under the post graduate (M.Sc./M.Tech/MBA) and PhD programmes, may be accessedhere (Word/PDF). Short Duration Technical Training Programmes in the Hydropower Sector

Under the action plan of the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit Meeting held in New Delhi, India, in October 2015, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee is organising two programmes related to the Hydropower Sector :

(a)Small Hydropower Development (2 weeks) from 16-28 September 2019

(b)Rural Electrification with Small Hydropower (2 weeks) from 10-22 February 2020

Short Duration Technical Training Program - Renewable Energy Capacity Building Program at National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), August 2019

Under the action plan of the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit Meeting held in New Delhi, India in October 2015, the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Gurgaon is organsing a Renewable Energy Capacity Building Program from 12 August - 30 August 2019.  The application form, course details and information brochure containing general guidelines including eligibility criteria may be accessed here (PDF). Short Duration Food Processing Training Programs

Under the action plan of the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit Meeting held in New Delhi, India, in October 2015,The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is organizing three programmes related to the Food Processing Agriculture Sector :

(a)Starting a Small Scale Food Processing Enterprise for Women and Youths (2 weeks) from 30 June-13 July 2019

(b)Development of Analytical Skills for setting up food testing Laboratories (2 weeks) from 18-31 August 2019

(c) Technology Commercialization and Business scale up in fruits and vegetables processing industry (2 weeks) from 17-30 November 2019

Short Duration Technical Training Programmes in Nautical Science and Port Management  

 Under the action plan of the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit Meeting held in New Delhi, India, in October 2015, Indian Maritime University (IMU), India, will be conducting a six week training programme on ‘Nautical Science and Port Management’ for African candidates for the academic year 2019-20 from 16th September 2019 to 25th October, 2019 in Chennai, India.
